Zoo de Granby Zoo de Granby news

Hey! So I'm new and don't really know where to post this, but does anyone know what species of bat are at the zoo? I wasn't able to tell when I was there. Thank you!

When you do a few serches lots of pictures of some sort of native to the province insectivorus bat comes up. It could be a recovery species, behind the scenes or the one that you seek. Sorry I couldn't help any better

Maybe they phased them out but in 2012 there was maybe fishing cat still at the zoo

In the cavern area, according to their videos, i think it was a Jamaican fruit bat
Does anyone know what species they house indoors they do not list any of their indoor animals on their website.
Quite a lot of the species are indoors, I will list some: rhinos, lions, tigers (outdoor), gorillas, other smaller animals. Most of the animal in Africa part will not be viewable

Do they still have Thompson's gazelles

Those species were sadly phased out at least ten years ago alongside muntjac, andean bear, ocelot, common eland, spotted-necked otter, Przewalski's horse and others.

I know fairly well Granby so if you have any question please don't hesitate!

Another even better question. What australian species do they have other than the macropods, black swan, lorikeets and the Emu?(Or are those the only australian species)

Also what happend to Dafina the spotted neck otter did she pass 2020 or sent to another zoo. It's clear she was around, up until 2020.

Even more questions.
What happend to the red legged serema and white throated toucan? The toucan photos date back a few months ago. Are the barn owl and snowy owl behind the scenes? whats the status of the patas monkeys and what other behind the scenes birds are they hiding? You forgot about the waterbuck in the species list (I found recent pictures on the internet multiple waterbucks). Also the website has pictures of a basklisk and is their Dromadary camel behind the scenes?

Are there any non-farm animals at the "village"? (a cavern species list would helpful but any outside the cavern but in the village would also be extremly helpful).
