The zoo direcktor Krug has been kicked out by city council. Reason cited - interpersonal differencies between the 2 parties. The zoo has an interim director. We can expect the council will open this position offcially in next weeks so prepaire your CVs.

Anything beyond "personal differences" where the old director had to go!? I would like some more transparency and expect more accountability from Council...

Secondly, as to new director ... Is he a good enough choice (technical means curatorial background or what was his job description and tasks before like?

24 years old female chimpanzee was sent to Ostrava on Thursday. A new female should arrive from Germany.

This particular chimpanzee female is Judy (24+ - born ca. ). She is a true verus subspecies chimpanzee originally captive born at Liberec Zoo and arrived in Hodonin around year 2009 before.

I am looking forward what the choice new female verus chimpanzee from Germany will be...
