On February 17th, the zoo announced they promoted their COO, Jessica Hart, as Interim CEO of the facility. On October 8th, the zoo announced they promoted Jessica as permanent CEO and President of the facility.

On March 4th, the zoo announced they acquired a male (1.0) savanna monitor named Manny from Colorado Humane Reptile Society in January, which is on display in the Educational Building. The zoo also announced their previous savanna monitor male, Captain Jack, passed away in 2024.

For the first time in our 30-year history, we have bobcats! Both bobcats were orphaned in northwest Montana as young kittens. The male (first photo), now six months old, and the female (second photo), three months old, will remain in a newly built behind-the-scenes habitat as Animal Care Staff focus on building trust, strengthening their bond, and beginning foundational training.
