Executive Director Jeff Ewelt led ZooMontana for 14 years, but he will soon leave to take up the post of Chief Zoological Officer at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo.
On February 17th, the zoo announced they promoted their COO, Jessica Hart, as Interim CEO of the facility. On October 8th, the zoo announced they promoted Jessica as permanent CEO and President of the facility.
On March 4th, the zoo announced they acquired a male (1.0) savanna monitor named Manny from Colorado Humane Reptile Society in January, which is on display in the Educational Building. The zoo also announced their previous savanna monitor male, Captain Jack, passed away in 2024.
On April 29th, the zoo announced that a male (1.0) grey wolf named Simpson passed away due a decline in health caused by congenital hydrocephalus (fluid in its brain).

On November 13th, the zoo announced their (1m.0) domestic chicken (Leghorn maybe?) named Colonel Sanders passed away on November 1st due to a teratoma tumor.
On November 26th, it was announced that the zoo transferred (1m.1f) Eurasian wolverines named Wibaux and Glacier to Columbus Zoo & Aquarium in Ohio. It was also announced they acquired a (1m.0) Eurasian wolverine named Alvar from Columbus Zoo & Aquarium.
