ZooBinh’s Journey West: California Chronicles and other Adventures

As long as you don't use flash it has absolutely no effect on the animals, so I ignored it and took pictures as I normally would. However, I rushed through and was paranoid I'd get in trouble.

So photos are "allowed" without flash, and some people have taken photos near staff who didn't care or asked if they knew about the fish they were photographing.
Definitely the case that happened to me too, last time I was there and photographing the Peppermint, an older lady who was a volunteer came up to me and at first I thought I was in trouble but she just asked what fish I was photographing and read the signage to me and told me to enjoy the rest of my visit. She swiped past the "No Photography" sign as well and didn't say anything or acknowledge it.
Monterey Bay in Into the Deep has a sign at the entrance that says "No Flash Photography", and those animals are wayyy more sensitive to Flash than the Twilight Zone fish so I wish they'd just change the signs to No Flash Photography instead.
But yeah basically as long as you're not using Flash, they could care less lol
