129. Pink-eared Duck
Hix
I still want to see a pink-eared duck. And a freckled duck. Apart for a few northern species (spotted whistling duck, radjah shelduck and the two pigmy geese) those are the only Australian waterfowl I haven't seen yet.beautiful bird. I only ticked them off earlier this year. You are really getting into your birds, Hix. It's good to see. I've noticed your lists on birdline. Before you know it you will be hooked. Let me know if you see a grey falcon in the illawarra area.

Found the Common Tern while looking at a photo of a big mixed flock of terns.
not for me. I would just consider that an annoyance that you didn't actually see it!So, if something shows up in a photo, but you didn't actually see it on the day (and recognise it as something different), you can still count it?
You southern hemisphere birders are far stricter in your rules than we are. You don't even count heard birds.
