I haven't updated for a while so here are some of the new additions of early spring, including some nice lifers.I'm quite happy about the group of Redpolls I saw up a sweet gum tree. It is an irruption year for them, and they are coming to central Illinois in large numbers following the food supplies.

A trip to Reigate this morning for the enormous brambling flock had added bonus ring-necked duck (long staying wintering female at Priory Pond) as well as a flock of siskin.
