13? Geez, I just visited the zoo and I didn't think there were 13 species there.

Haha I just took a gander at their species list on their website- most of the 13 are relatively common in zoos (and I may well have already seen them/ran past them on my asian tour). Now that this is a goal, I'll be sure to run a little slower past each one and take note haha.
Haha got any big trips planned?? This Sunday I'll be going to Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Smithsonian National Zoo. Then I got 2 weeks in September to Europe/Dubai. And theres a lot of easy ones still waiting for my list.
Can you repost your full list? I had looked for it late last night but couldn't find it.
And what's your life list at- both for carnivores and total mammals (zoo and/or wild)?
A couple...I don’t really keep a life list tbh.
I’m currently at 85 for this challenge; will find the full list tomorrow.
Where are your trips planned for haha, or is it a surprise? And come onn ya gotta keep a life list!

41. Leopard Panthera pardus
42. Binturong Arctictis binturong
43. Fisher Pekania pennanti
44. Eurasian Lynx Lynx lynx
45. Geoffroy's Cat Leopardus geoffroyi
11 felines

2 mongooses
1 Malagasy carnivore
9 canines
6 bears
1 earless seal
1 eared seal
1 Red Panda
1 skunk
4 mustelids
4 raccoons
As I mentioned above I did a shoddy job remembering my entire carnivore list seen from my 10 country zoo trip. Combination of it being 2am, and trying to look through thousands of photos months after the fact haha.
If these species were seen months ago, I would say this is yet another member contravening rule 7 - regular updates! This is becoming a farce ! In theory if this is allowed, someone could post 150 species on 31 December and win !! It's against the rules and certainly not in the spirit of the game!!
Fine, you have your opinion which you're entitled to and I am not prepared to argue with.I think you are being needlessly aggressive, @pipaluk - until his recent burst of activity, @Giant Eland had not been regularly active on the site for some time (and has been busy visiting the various collections mentioned in his ongoing thread since returning) so I think that waiting until he was no longer busy to post his total isn't a problem.
Moreover, by your logic you strongly imply that you think only those who have been active in the thread since it was originally started are permitted to compete - which really does come across as aggressive / pedantic given the fact this would rule out the participation of new members
In any case, given the fact that @ThylacineAlive created this thread and seems to have no problem with GE competing it is a moot point.
I won't be posting , there's no point!@pipaluk I have no issue with these members posting their totals when they did. @Joker1706 already stated he hadn't even seen the thread until only several days before posting, and @Giant Eland has just gotten around to going through the results of his trip. These things happen and I don't think there are any grounds for action against them. I'd be quite the hypocrite if I did, too, considering I didn't have my own totals from mainly January ready to be posted until mid-March (much later on the NA Challenge thread). Neither of them waiting until the last minute to post either, we still have over one quarter of the year left for others to overtake them.
And for the record if you wait until December 31 to post your finals you will be the only one violating Rule 7...

I won't be posting , there's no point!
Not a reflection on your decision I assure you!!That's your choice then

Here are the leopard cats I saw, at two different zoos. Informed opinions as to whether they are Sunda or Mainland requested.

By the way, rodents were already done.
