I missed about three species between all of the collections, which isn't bad going at all. I'm not sure how many more additions I'll make for the rest of the year, however, seeing as I do not have any more trips planned. I was hoping to crack 100 but barring any spontaneous visits for somewhere like Smithsonian I don't think that's going to happen.

Went today - after a break of 4 years - to Reptielenhuis De Aarde in Breda. Had little hope to find new species for the Challenge because last time I visited there was just 1 amphibian-species - the Cane toad. This species is still being kept but I had already seen it earlier this year. In one of the enclosures - in which last time a Blue-tongued skink was kept - I saw a species which counts for the Challenge ( althrough I also had seen this species already earlier this year - at a reptile-fair ) :

Last week I paid my 6th visit to De Oliemeulen and finaly found the last missing amphibian-species on display !

In the weekend I visited Berkenhof's Tropical Zoo after a break of 2 years and hoped to find some new species for the Challenge because they used to have several species not seen sofar this year but the final result was just 1 new species - which I already had seen at several reptile-fairs and pet-shops this year but the ones at Berkenhof's Tropical Zoo were the first this year on public view and so now I can add them to the list :
30 - Mossy frog - Theloderma corticale



Next to the several adult animals there were also several aquariums with loads of tadpoles .
At Berkenhof's I missed 2 species which would have been new for me for the Challenge - both signed but I wasn't able to find them in their enclosures :
- Pied warty frog - Theloderma asperum
- Chimbo rocket frog - Hyloxalus infraguttatus ( free-living in the Butterfly-hall )_.
