Great list @migdog ! Are there any other intresting "non-European" rarities you saw in Singapore, apart from Proboscis monkey? Have you seen the Colugos?

ZooChat Challenge Global 2022 - Tracker

Again, still busy all the time :p. But this is updated now :). I'll put in my entries from my visits from July up until now after my upcoming four zoo visits this week :D.
I was trying to workout how I had counted 64 entries and I had 65 on this chart; turns out I had both Fennec Fox and Barn Owl as number 33. One other slight mistake was that on my list 40.Jaguar (or 39.Jaguar as I had put it) is listed as a second Jaguarundi, I'm sure this doesn't matter too much though.

Thanks @twilighter! Singapore was amazing, I would recommend going! The proboscis monkeys were the stand out though it was raining heavily when we first got to the park so they were hiding but they were more visible in the afternoon. We saw a few wild colugos, the first one we saw was actually in Singapore zoo. There were a few rarities like the hog badger and civet that were awesome, along with the Phillipine eagle.

Sounds fantastic! Thank you for the reply. Hopefully I'll reach it one day :)

Yes, there were a few mistakes I had to sort through from multiple participants, so the spreadsheet should be the correct list for everyone. Re. jaguar would be my bad, as it auto filled jaguarundi as I typed in jaguar.

Last input on the way back to Oslo. Nice species in a nice place.

28.12 Skansen Akvariet

312. Hoffmann's two-toed sloth/Choloepus hoffmanni
Well done mate, without checking I'm going to assume you've won this by a long shot!:eek::D

I was hoping for at least one trip before New Year but owing to illness it looks like my 2022 has come to an end! :(

For the record I did have plans for Chester on Thursday (just for the pygmy mice and Acacia rat for the challenge) but I just don't have the energy...

Thank you, my friend! I really hope you will feel better soon...If you not make it to Chester, wish you healthy 2023, full of zoo experiences. Chester could be a bang start for the 2023 Challenge, who knows?

Today's bad weather led to a spur of the moment decision to visit:
London Zoo 6 November

179 Potto (Perodictius potato)
180 Moholi galago (Galago moholi)
181 Aye Aye (Daubentonia madagascarensis)

Not sure what else I can add now, no more than 5 or 6, if I get any!

Just a few to add from today

28 December

Tilgate Nature Centre

182 African Pygmy Mouse ( Mus minutoides)

British Wildlife Centre

183 Hazel Dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius)
184 Yellow-necked mouse ( Apodemus flavicollis)

Probably my last additions of the year, but I may manage one more species.

I have one another addition from Zoo Dvůr Králové:

61/ African Brush-tailed Porcupine / Atherurus africanus / osinák africký

Zoo Barcelona, Spain, 24/05/22

62/ Lyle's Flying Fox / Pteropus lylei / kaloň Lyleův

During that day I ended up in Barcelona for a few hours to visit the Zoo Barcelona for a while. I managed one tick. It was my first visit to this zoo and I was suprised that it is a very nice zoo and I hope to go back one day.

Thanks for the well wishes, much appreciated! :D Gotta be said though, first trip of 2023 is likely to be Drayton Manor or WMSP so depending on what the challenge is they may not be so fruitful... :p
