If you mean all-time record of winning the annual challenge, then not really... not for the North American version anyway. This is only the 5th year it's been done; the past 4 years have seen 3 winners, with one person winning twice. I don't know what the track record is for Europe or Global.

I apologize, but I have no idea what you're trying to ask. The purpose of this challenge is to see the specific animals outlined in post #3 of this thread's first page. If you're inquiring about who is leading right now, it's Kudu21. If you're just asking who here has seen the most species in general, I have no clue and I don't see what it has to do with anything here. If I'm still missing your gist, I'm going to need more details on what your question is to answer it.

We also operate on "word is your bond", so rarely is anyone asked to verify what species they saw.

The first two I did not see. I was running out of time tbh and couldn’t spend too much time looking (mainly due to the baby tree kangaroo and the capercaillie mating display). The latter I did see though, although I guess I forgot to note it.

I wondered if someone would bite that bullet eventually; in fairness to you (as I'm sure you were focused on getting as much of Bronx done as possible), I could have warned people about that earlier. But yes, unfortunately The Edgar Allen Poe specifies the family Corvidae... bad bird naming conventions strike again!

The zoo no longer has Arctic fox; they've been replaced with Canadian Lynx. The tapirs were just a miss for me; I had to skip Elephant Odyssey due to time constraints and the Malayan in Lost Forest was a no-show. Sun bear and Coquerel's sifaka were two other no-show challenge species for me.

No more cockatoos meant I didn't get as many parrots as I originally expected, but otherwise was an EXTREMELY effective trip to the zoo today.
