D2. Users with the most media comments
I should clarify something about this data.
With the old gallery software, the modifications I made saw the photo description set as the first post in the photo "thread" so that people could then reply to it.
When I migrated to the current gallery software, I copied that first post to the photo description field in the gallery, but also copied it to the first comment made - since this is how it previously worked. These comments also counted towards a user's overall post count - since they were literally posts that started the comment thread.
As a result, any photos uploaded before Oct 2016 will have both a description and a comment made which are identical. What's more - users who uploaded those older photos will have seen their comment counts rise in line with the number of photos they uploaded.
So @snowleopard has a very high comment count mostly because he has a very high photo count and every one of his descriptions on photos he uploaded before Oct 2016 (and pretty much every photo had a description), will also count as a comment.
It's not ideal - but it's also not wrong - it was done this way to maintain consistency with the way the old gallery worked. But either way, it is different to the way it works now. A user uploading a photo to the gallery and adding a description will not automatically have a comment added.
Anyway - that's why those users who were members on the old site and uploaded a lot of photos there will have a much higher comment count overall.
It makes me twitch a bit that we don't have nice consistent data - but I'm not sure there's a better way of managing it at this point.
I guess I could go back and delete all those first comments that exactly match the photo descriptions to make things more consistent? I will see how things work once we get the upgrade done and look at tidying things up a bit then.

One can only imagine what the various media-focused graphs would have looked like had you not been forced to perform the Great Purge, and subsequently been unable to retrieve the backups made of purged images.....

Couldn't be helped, given the alternative at the time was the site shutting down because of database costs
and at this stage it's all part of the great fabric of Zoochat history and legend! In any case, between my "Species We Have Lost" thread and the photographic guides posted by myself and @Chlidonias we've managed to regain quite a few of the nicer shots which were lost.
Interesting spike for Thylo there.
I suspect the lack of on-exhibit pangolins in the US right now might contribute to the fact that pangolins are mentioned less often now.
I'm surprised my many searches for cheetah things hasn't gotten them higher, to be honest
Regarding media uploads, I reckon I'm possibly the most active current user based on those graphics. Everyone else in the top 20 has been uploading for at least a few years before me, with most being here a decade before I joined. And I only post a fraction of what I take... and my parents wonder why I need a new phone, ha!
