Hard - shelled tree seeds including Brazil nuts; they are able to open up the seed pods to release the seeds. Obviously the trees producing the seeds are also a key component of many food chains.

Yep, they are the only animal capable of breaking brazil nuts (that would want to) you have the next question!

Which animal protects itself from predators by "taking" poison from a specific tree species and smearing a very specific portion of its hairs with it, before letting the predator bite him in that area in order to sicken it or to kill it?

South America- Jaguar/Harpy Eagle
Africa - Leopard/Crowned Eagle
Australia- Quoll/Variable Goshawk/ (New Guinea Harpy Eagle in the Greater region)
Asia- Leopard/Philippine Eagle

Well done @Tetzoo Quizzer Next chapter is the one that is one of the Most beloved Here on Zoo Chat it is Zoos and Aquariums and @Tetzoo Quizzer is the one who does the first question.

Ahem, maybe I risk to be wrong as well but I have to say: Objection!

The top predator (if you count blood too and not only flesh) IN ALL OF THE LISTED REGION is the Anopheles mosquito....
However, if you do not accept the term "predator" for that invertebrate species then at least for the Asian region the Tiger tops the Leopard.

I did think of Tiger afterwards, but had already been given the green light! In my defence, my Asian experience is in Borneo where there are no Tigers.
