Also @MagpieGoose which enclosure are the hyraxes in? Are they in one of the smaller enclosures? In which case they are likely where the chinchillas were formerly kept.
It was the day you we're at Twycross but if i'm down again I will defenitly see if you are about. The hyrax are on the ex-rhino side of the building on the left if you are walking up the ramp. The enclosure says there is nothing in it but I saw 2 hyrax! The keeper said they are just waiting for the porcupine enclosure too be made hyrax-proofAlso @MagpieGoose which enclosure are the hyraxes in? Are they in one of the smaller enclosures? Lots of work going on in the BUGS house, locust enclosure is being gutted and refurbed, the aquarium part has been blocked off for works, and lots of long standing animals have been replaced (rats with mosquitos for example).

Its an interesting article of 'behind the scenes' in the modern ZSL. I see Gorilla 'Effie' is on a sort of permanent diet, she gets half portions of the nuts they are all given.
At the risk of coming across as dim, what does the "DK" in the gorilla diet stand for?
Strange, especially if she does still feed Gernot, who, I see, isn't mentioned on the lists. I like the idea of Zaire's Old Lady Extras!
