You can't Cook Strait a Tuatara.Sounds stupid but the new signage says that.
not correct.

But why does the name sound stupid? Cook Strait is the strait between the North and South Islands, and the tuatara are from the smaller islands in Cook Strait.

here's an additional clue. This animal has another common name, and you can thank Spanish Catholics for it.

Is it a fire neon? You can't fire neon because it's an inert gas.
you know, I had never heard of a Glowlight being called a Fire Neon until I saw it on Zootierliste labelled as that. It is a really dumb name.

Anyway, not the correct answer, although I like it.

I'll round up the clues I've given so far, and see if that helps.

First riddle:

First hint:

Last hint:
here's an additional clue. This animal has another common name, and you can thank Spanish Catholics for it.

A throw-away in the middle:
Although, some of the answers are in the right order...
"in the right Order", hint hint. See which group of animals had the most answers when I posted this.

Oh! You can't milk a frog, so it'll be milk frog (Trachycephalus resinifictrix)!
and that is correct!

The other hint about Spanish Catholics was because the alternative common name of Mission Golden-eyed Frog comes from the type locality of the Mission of San Antonio do Prata in Brazil.
