A first breeding for the zoo very welcome news indeed. It's been a very good breeding year for the species in the U.K.!

I don't think so as they don't like humans I believe. But you are not the only one with such a wish

Chester’s Scottish Wildcats are part of a breed-to-release programme, so it’s crucial that offspring don’t become imprinted. This means they can’t go on public display, and contact with staff has to be heavily restricted.

The old cassowary/cheetah exhibit will have something in residence very soon, although it will be a different species than was planned. It is from the same family however.

After 2 years finally the enclsoure will be filled, now there will be more of a reason to visit that area other than the pademelon. Let's hope it makes for good viewing whatever the species.

The best reasonf forgoing down tot hat area, other than the excellent one mentioned by Shirts, is that you can escape from the hordes of screaming children in the summer

I don't know but I find it quite likely as it is known the spider monkey births will be in the series which means anything prior to October at least could be shown.

Also I don't think this has been shared yet but in early November a strain of avian malaria unfortunatley killed some of the penguin colony while in their temporary home. http://www.chesterzoo.org/whats-happening/zoo-news/2017/11/news-update?page=2
