Are there any Foosa in captivity?
There's over 60 fossa in US zoos, at dozens of facilities.
Thanks.
I may have to travel in that case when two of my local zoos lack them.
Yes, Racine will be the closest.Racine Zoo is probably your closest.
Any freshwater whiptail rays in captivity other than at the Cairns Aquarium? I think I remember hearing that the Dallas World Aquarium has/had one (might have just been a dream), but I can't find any info/pictures of them online.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was referring to the Australian species, Himantura dalyensis.Urogymnus polylepis, the Mekong species, is kept at Singapore River Safari, some aquariums in Thailand, and a botanical garden in Japan. Possibly more locations, too.

They are kept privately (which usually doesn't end well for the octopus). I do believe that Monterey Bay Aquarium had them at some point. I don't know if they still do, cephalopods tend to be very short-lived.Any Mimic octopuses in captivity?
Are any snailfish species kept anywhere? Other than the black-tipped snailfish at the Fukushima Aquarium.
I think National Aquarium may have them. Not sure.
Baltimore has H. australis.
Tennessee has Urogymnus dalyensis if that's the same species? I've seen U. granulatus at the Aquarium of the Pacific as well.
