The zoo announced on its social media pages that Molly the Aoudad was euthanized at the age of 17 due to age related issues.

More aoudad are extremely unlikely. They're a phase out by the AZA, so I'm not sure of where the zoo would be able to acquire more from, even if they wanted more. I'm not sure what the zoo will do with the space, but between the exhibit and the fair amount of empty space near it, there're plenty of options!I hope the zoo gets more aoudads or maybe replaces them with ibex or maybe rework the exhibit for Patas monkeys or some species of baboon?
Also, the link wasn't working for me so I just wanted to post the link to the story here:

I agree. It’s too rocky for ostrich. Could they potentially be introduced to the Hoofstock at that front exhibit or go in with the giraffes maybe? As it stands right now, and I have to be honest here, its not really a good exhibit for ostriches.
I mean that's certainly a possibility. Ostrich are also something though that I doubt was ever a permanent solution so could be phased out and I doubt anyone would miss them. Or, with aoudad gone, if Ostrich is something they want to keep in the exhibit, I suppose removing the mountain would be a possibility. This would also allow the zoo to continue housing zebras even if/when the masterplan displaces them.I agree. It’s too rocky for ostrich. I'm aware they're common elsewhere, but the point still stands that they are a phase out species so it's unlikely the zoo will acquire more. And certainly not more of the Kordofan subspecies. They're everywhere outside AZA, extremely easy to acquire.
On May 27th, the zoo announced that a (0.0.1) red wolf was born on May 5th. It is the first time the zoo has bred the species since 2005 and brings the captive population back to 250. The zoo also announced they have built a new birthing den for the wolves.

The zoo also removed the Auodad label from the habitat on their map a long time ago (the habitat has long been labeled as just "ostrich", who the auodads shared the exhibit with), signaling that they didn't intend on acquiring more from non-AZA sources.
And it’s spelled wrong. LolThat's the ADA map. Aoudad is still on the regular map. Nucloud Web Map
The large maps posted at the zoo are now blank for that habitat (no aoudad or ostrich labeled). That's the ADA map. Aoudad is still on the regular map. Nucloud Web Map

It was spelled “osrich” not “ostrich” onNo it's not?

The new Red River Hog's name is Groot, and he is significantly smaller than Persephone. They haven't made the public announcement yet but we do have a new male Red River Hog on exhibit now.
The online map is also extremely outdated, it still states we have Harbor Seal, Alligator, etc. and still lists our animals we've had off exhibit for months (eagles, king vulture, giant otter, etc.) so its not a very reliable source for accurate stuff at the zoo.
