On June 4th, the zoo announced that due to avian influenza cases dropping, their penguins, red-breasted geese, white storks, and guineafowl have returned to their outdoor exhibits. Their flamingos will be outside periodically while their exhibit is getting an upgrade. The remainder of the birds is still off exhibit.

On June 9th, the zoo announced they have bought full-seated electric scooters to get around during the visit, named ScooterPals. There are 5 to choose from (lion, giraffe, rhino, leopard, black bear), and are accessible at the lemur building.

On September 9th, the zoo announced that they were awarded top honors in marketing for their 'Wild Asia' campaign by the AZA.

On September 10th, the zoo announced that the path near the construction of the new Garden View Place building will be closed to the public from September 12th to 17th.

I may be going next week. Does anyone know which birds are off-exhibit due to avian influenza risk? The website doesn't mention which specific species are not out for view.
