Does the zoo no longer have Rock Hyrax? there was post from earlier this year saying that they were mixed in with the Red-Ruffed Lemurs, but I didn't see any and there was no signage for them either. I couldn't find any post on their social media saying whether they passed away or were transferred out.

the zoo received a new Tawny Frogmouth named Dijon and a Laughing Kookaburra named Adelaide. They have been introduced to Hotdog the Tawny Frogmouth and Bendigo the Laughing Kookaburra they already had, this is an SSP transfer and the hope is both species of birds will pair up and have chicks

in sad news 30 year old Baird's Tapir, Josie was humanely euthanized so she wouldn't suffer from age-related complications. She was one of the oldest animals at the zoo having lived their since the zoos opening in 1994

The new Okapi is a male named George, he comes from the Brookfield Zoo and while there are no plans to aquire a female for him, the move was still SSP related as it allows his mom to breed again

He was re-named after the long-term director of the Brookfield Zoo, but he is not from the Brookfield Zoo. The animal is from Disney and was formerly named “Beni”.
