North American Malayan Tiger Population

It hasn't been officially announced but the speculation in the Zoo Knoxville thread is Jacksonville to breed with Cinta.
Introducing our newest Malayan tiger ambassadors! Cinta gave birth to THREE cubs on Sunday, November 5. 2023
The few days after birth are critical as the little family adjusts. Cinta has been very attentive to her babies, grooming and allowing the cubs to nurse, so we are giving them space while they get settled in and bond privately behind the scenes. Our Animal Care staff continue to monitor them to ensure they are eating, sleeping and cuddling as they should

Just like with humans, there are potential risks. We remain cautiously optimistic and look forward to sharing updates. Be sure to follow along!

Jacksonville Zoo has announced the names of 2 of the 3 cubs. Donors have named the male cub Machli and the uninjured female cub Beppy. The female cub with the injured front leg will be named on February 1.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens on Instagram: "PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION FOR RULES: It's finally time to #NameThatTiger On November 5, 2023, we welcomed three critically endangered Malayan tiger cubs, one boy and two girls. Two of the cubs have been named by generous donors, but one of the female cubs, whose leg was previously injured, is still in need of a name! From January 17-31, you are invited to vote for your favorite name for a $5 donation (Note: A donation submission is required to vote and comments are not accepted as votes. Payments will not process unless a minimum of a $5 donation is selected.). As a 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations directly support the care and feeding of the Zoo’s animals, and the protection of animals and plants around the world. The Zoo is matching up to $20,000 in donations through the naming contest. The name that raises the most funds will be the selected name for the female cub. The little one will finally have her own name on Thursday, February 1! The cub’s Care Specialists have chosen five names with South Asian origin as an homage to the Malayan tiger species: Nayla (NAY-la) meaning a winner, or one who goes ahead to get everything Mina (MEE-nah) meaning one who is unrelenting and determined Seniya (seh-NI-yah) meaning one who is praiseworthy Indah (IN-dah) meaning beautiful one Cahya (KAI-yah or ka-HI-yah) meaning one who is the light in darkness The two siblings have been named by donors; the male is Machli (MOCK-lee), a world-renown tiger of the Ranthambore National Park, and the female is Beppy, named after a beloved family member. Jammu passed away in September 2021 at the Alexandria Zoo:

Zoo News | Alexandria Zoo

Nazira (Jasin x Maya) passed away in December 2017 at the Alexandria Zoo. She had been moved there from Baton Rouge to hopefully breed with Jammu after her sister, Yatti, died there but she also ended up passing away, I think from the same health issue that resulted in her sister's death if I remember correctly from when I asked someone. Suhana at the Bronx Zoo is the last surviving sister from that litter of 3.

Angin (at Ellen Trout Zoo) is also known as Pepino for purposes of completeness.

Bzui (at Zoo Tampa) passed away in November 2020. I had someone I know confirm that for me when they visited but I have no details about her cause of death.
Mata at Zoo Tampa Passed away Yesterday no word yet on how we now have Kayu left
