Are These in Captivity? #2

This was mentioned many years ago, but with the rise of the ant hobby in recent years, has anyone had any luck with the Army Ant species Eciton burchellii?

Eciton burchellii
Not yet. I state:
"It's unethical for hobbyists to keep colonies of army ants from Dorylinae, because their uncommon colonies produce only one viable queen every 1-2 years."
Few institutions have tried, but colonies died out within a year time. Army ants in general have proven themselves extremely difficult in a captive environment.

Cheers Sicarius.

Are there any zoos with Solifugae? I now own one and would like to see if anyone has had success
Tennoji Zoo in Japan had them a few years ago, but not anymore.
閲覧注意! でも、観察するなら今!

They were also on temporary exhibits at other zoos.
周南市徳山動物園 夏休み企画 キモイ?カワイイ?キモ♥カワ展開催中!!

They are breeding in private hands in Japan, but seems to be extremely difficult and I think they have not succeeded in long-term survival of offsprings.

Are there any species in a Private Care like a Ranch (say Texas) that little to no zoo exhibits but is common in private care such as Mouflon or like how tanimbar blue tongue is way more common in a dudes house but a they are almost unheard of in zoos except for a few over in Europe
PS I don't need to know about mouflon or tanimbar blue tongue it's just to get the conversation going ;)

It's not on ZTL so if they are kept, it would likely be at an obscure place.
That is not an accurate statement at all on the global content of ZTL.The content is definitely not that complete (or accurate) to say that if a species isn't listed then if it exists it would have to be some place almost nobody has heard of. Especially when you get to the lesser vertebrates like herptiles or fish

And ZTL doesn't have accurate records for some major collections in places out of Europe and North America.

Have they ever been bred in captivity?

I would assume it’s not a question of if they would but more that they are difficult to find and catch.
