Yes, I take that on board, fully, and see how it looks. On reflection, I’ve been very positive and supportive of the changes and progress made since Dennis Flynn departed, both on this forum and, most importantly, face to face, at the coal face with the staff on the ground on a regular basis. Hand on heart Dave, I honestly don’t think I would have criticised them for not releasing an update of this nature, because their members updates have been so regular (including meeting invites for members) and thorough, since Stephen Kings took over as interim.Thing is, given your general track record when it comes to criticism of the collection and the direction it has gone in recent years, if they *had* waited until there was something substantial to share, you would have probably criticised them for waiting too long to provide some form of communication and suggested that hearing something/anything would have been better than nothing![]()
I’ve criticised the actual piece sent to members by the curator, as I think it reflects the reactive and slow approach to change of that department.
