After yet another break of over 12 months we once again have a chance,to walk around Chester Zoo and ask the Curator of Mammals Mr Tim Rowlands all those questions that we have wanted answering over the last 12 months, about any species under his care.

The plan is to meet at the exit of the Monkey Monorail Station at 10:30 am on Saturday 6th July 2013,after which we will have a walk around the collection with Tim,stopping at various random points to chat and discuss various subjects, with Lunch in the staff canteen,in the afternoon we will finish up the parts of the collection we didn't do in the morning.

The walk and talk is open to anybody that can contact me via zoochat private message,if you cannot contact me via pm,then you cannot attend.Anybody under the age of 18 will have to notify me of their age,and anybody 16 or under will have to attend with a responsible adult. So if you wish to attend all you need to do is send me a pm with your real name and a means of contacting you in case of any unforeseen reason that may result in the event being cancelled.

Finally Tim would like a donation off everybody that attends to go towards the current EAZA campaign.

PM sent. Looking forward to it!

Would have sent you a pm confirming your place but you have reached your message limit,so place confirmed!

Cheers - I've cleared some space now! :D

As much as I'd like to attend, I'm unable to find myself a responsible adult on this occasion, so I'll have to wait until I'm sixteen for next year!

We now have only very few places left, and after that anybody will have to go on a reserve list in case anybody pulls out at the last minute!

Sorry to hijack the thread but out of interest is there anyone going from the Birmingham area and they want to give me a lift up? I'll pay my share of petrol, it's just that getting a coach will take a few hours so I will miss the start and the price of rail travel is unreal without any discounts! If not then I'll probably head up on the Friday instead.

Have you had any joy sorting out your problem?

No offer of a lift as yet. If not then I'll travel up Friday after work by coach and book into a local hotel or b & b for the night and make my way there in the morning. May be a bit more expensive but I think it will be worth it.

Quite a way off then

Just a little, that's why I'm being swayed by coach and a night in a hotel. At least I'll be refreshed and on time for the walk & talk. Then I can either spend a second night in Chester or make my way home afterwards.
