I've found this map of the Melbourne Zoo from 1978. It's really interesting to see their collection at the time, and how far they've come over the last 45 years.

As you can probably tell by my name, I'm based out of Buffalo, NY, USA. Does anyone have old photos and maps of the Buffalo Zoo? Older the better and I would love some old maps to compare what the zoo looked like before as to now.

All too often with US zoos, there seems to be a lot of extra space and walking which means my fellow guests wind up cranky and want to go home before we see the whole zoo. Also, most of my zoos I find are too jam packed with exhibits so I made a map of a zoo that just has a lot of empty space.

The entirety of my work since the last update, focusing on the island of Sumatra within Islands, including species such as Sumatran orangutans, Tigers, Sun bears, Malayan tapirs and Javan Green Magpies.

The entirety of Islands so far - I have finished Sumatra apart from a couple of small viewing huts etc, and same broadly goes for Sulawesi.

So, the main idea in this map was to avoid adding any species that appeared in two or more of my other recent zoos, and even avoid animals and even entire groups that feature in just one of those. I hope you enjoy, numbered species list in the description.
