A post from forumster KEEPER suddenly made me qurious...

bulls do not have colour vision, they charge the cape because it is being flapped in front of them not because of the colour.

People sometimes assume that rodeo bulls are mistreated, but nothing could be further from the truth. Good rodeo bulls are worth a lot of money, and in USA their bloodlines are carefully charted. The bulls are often a lot more "professional" than the bullriders.

The bull aggression "problem" in the arena it´s motivated mainly for the very small size of the arena, compared to the field where the bull has living all his life, and the screaming people in the paddocks (and screaming public in arena too) when the bull check that the arena has not exit, they attack the bullfighters "capes" ...

Thanks for a lot of informative answers to my thread and... hey, Ashely-H, it turns out you were right from the start! :)

I doubt that Dan will read this post, but why not give it a try?

I don´t know if this comes as a pleasant or an unpleasant surprise to you, Sun Wukong, but I actually read practically ALL your posts on ZooChat... ;)
