Animals kept at only one zoo outside of their native range

Tarsiers (not sure what species) are held at a Japanese zoo but I don't remember which this is (Ueno zoo ?).

Ueno has them yes. One of the biggest slaps in the face for me is I was there but didn't see them due to the fact my family went with my aunt and she's afraid of nocturnal animals.

Thats a shame, but maybe you will pay a visit to their native countries and get to see them in the wild one day ?

Black lion tamarin at Jersey zoo in the UK.

Red uakari at LA zoo, USA (not sure if this animal is still alive).

Can confirm from my recent visits that Daisy our sole remaining red Uakari is still alive, does her routine perimeter checks every day then chills out under her tree for most of the day.

That is great to hear ! How old is she now ?

It depends on how we define "native range" but another one that comes to mind are the Brazilian mergansers that are held in the Itatiba zoo in São Paulo state (the species is native to Minas Gerais state).

These are the only ones held by any zoo in the world in fact so are very special birds.

I don’t know how old she may be but she may be close in age to our last boy who passed and was I believe 39 at the time :/

There is a Santarem marmoset held at a Germany zoo but I can't remember what the zoo is called.
