I went when I was like 6-7, then when I was 10ish, I went again, and it was closed, and I was extremely disappointed 'cause I was so excited. Just so excited to finally get closure on this. It also rules this is the first big additional since what, the remade Children's Zoo almost a decade ago? Hopefully, this could mark a change in the direction of more investments in the Bronx. It’s crazy how excited I am even though I have never visited bronx![]()
+Leopard habitat return *gags* and World of DarknessPouched rat, the return of tomistoma, and baby elephant shrews? We're so back!
Could we see clouded leopards? To be honest, I don’t know what can join that habitat besides birds or another leopard. The leopard habitat in Jungleworld has finally seen its wall come down with new glass installed. Signage still shows the old leopard info, but wouldn’t be surprised if we see a new species in here
Perhaps a binturong?Could we see clouded leopards? To be honest, I don’t know what can join that habitat besides birds or another leopard.
I know for the pair that had a baby in recent months, the female is Cindy and the male I’m almost positive is Bart.Regarding the sengis, do we know which pairs have had babies in recent months? Perhaps, it may help us figure out the expecting pair; and if you need to know which shrew is which, there’s always my Black-and-Rufous Sengis in NA Zoos thread to outsource from.
On a semi-related note, with all the nocturnal species lost from captivity, what is the potential for the new exhibit? How ambitious would WCS be in bringing in rarely kept species or those new to North America?I'm curious: Do we know how many species the World of Darkness had on display before it closed?
