Three species of wild bat are found in the zoo. Soprano Pipistrelle, Brown Long-eared and Daubenton's.
That seems an extremely limited number!
Surely they have Common Pipistrelle and Noctule? I'd also expect at least one other Myotis bat - probably Whiskered.
The two female pups have been named Makira and Kirindy, after national parks in Madagascar, and the male has been named Telo, which means "three" in Malagasy.Three fossa pups were born! The pup's genders are one male and two females, and are the first fossa pups born in the zoo's history.
