The last Chester thread is now 13 pages long so I thought it was time for a new one.
News from a visit by Bongorob and Zoogiraffe on 7th June 2014.
The pair of red forest duikers has been moved from the enclosure by the canal to the Okapi House and they have settled in well.
The house for the Aloatran gentle lemurs was cordoned off and the windows have been covered over, with a few viewing holes.
The baby giant anteater is now in the long, narrow enclosure between the vicunas and the crazy golf.
I saw one bongo.
We saw the hawk owl chick. Other recent hatchings are waldrapp ibis and white-faced whistling ducks.
The viv formerly housing the eyelash viper is being refurbished and across the path from there, the rhinoceros ratsnake viv is empty, it currently has no roof.
