Visited today for a few hours, mostly with the intention of seeing the exhibits I'd either missed or rushed last year. I got to have a better look at Budongo and Living Links in particular, and have a first look at the Monkey House (very active Drills and Barbary Macaques, plus my first L'hoest's made it a highlight even if the enclosures weren't brilliant).
We arrived too late in the day to book panda tickets, but one of the Koalas was surprisingly active, and it was nice to see their exhibit greatly improved. This was also my first time properly seeing Edinburgh's penguin pool, and it definitely stood out as another highlight.
I still feel the row of carnivore cages are on the small side (though I did enjoy getting the brilliant views we got of the jaguars and leopards), but generally I can definitely consider Edinburgh to be my favourite second collection in the UK.
