Are they also fresh imports?

Indeed; Tierpark Berlin originally recieved 2,2 PLC, and when they left quarantine 1,1 stayed at Tierpark and 1,1 went to Exmoor. The pair at Tierpark have since produced 0,0,2.

Does Exmoor still have any Diana Monkeys? If not, does anyone know where it/they have gone too?

According to their facebook page two female Cheetah step sisters have arrived from the Czech Republic. Both on show. Won't be able to see them until September (I hate summer holidays - to busy). Nice arrival as a while ago a keeper said they may not keep Cheetahs after Dave their male passed away.

Good news, hopefully securing the future of the species at Exmoor a little longer :)

Visited today.

The two female 'step' sister Cheetahs are in fact half sisters with the same father. They were born in the UK 2 years ago, went to the Czech Republic then returned back here. Not sure what UK zoo they originally came from though(anybody on here know?). The Zoo has them as company for there male Dave, he can't be bred due to a inheritable genetic deformity and he's quite old. When he passes they may move the females on or get a younger male in.

Construction going on several areas. The planned Grey Wolf and Hyena enclosures are being built up now. The Zoo has new signs/maps dotted around the zoo, all have these new enclosures on them But with the Grey Wolves being for 2015 and The Hyenas may be Summer 2015 or not until 2016, depending on funds.

Palawan Leopard cats are on show but mostly hiding out of sight in their house. A keeper said they are getting on well... So there may be Kittens in the near future, have to wait and see...

I believe they were born at Hamerton, if I recall correctly.

The two new females Exmoor hold are called Kasi & Amber both born at Hamerton in late 2012. both very striking animals they are too!

Visited today. Quite a lot of construction work going on at present. Future Wolf and Hyena Enclosures are being built. Grey owls off show and their aviary has been demolished to clear way for paths around the Hyena enclosure. New pathway over future Wolf enclosure. Solar panels been put up to save on electricity bills by 50% I believe.

Wolf species not sure yet, Possibly Iberian.
Hyena's will most likely be Spotted.
Potentially exhibiting Wolverines in the future.
Ocelot and Grey Owls off show until new exhibits can be built for them.

It's nice to get another collection holding Hyena, of course, but it *is* a pity it will be the relatively common Spotted as opposed to Brown or Striped - the former is now gone from the UK and the latter effectively so.

Visited the other day. Work well underway on four enclosures - Wolves, Hyena, new Grey Owl aviary and a fourth for species unknown as of yet (haven't asked them about it either). The enclosures are well on there way to being completed within the next few months it appears.

Another improvement is with the Exmoor Beast (Black Leopards) enclosure. New glass has been put in so now it is a lot easier to photograph them. The old glass was scratched, mossy and murky.

Visited today lots of stuff going on.

New Maned Wolf arrived today. A young male, he is a nephew of Exmoor's current male Peter. He came from the RSCC Peter's brother went there a while ago in exchange for a older female who died in winter 2013. Both have been introduced to each other. A few squabbles but nothing major. He was out all day patrolling the enclosure.

Red ruffed lemurs have departed. Their enclosure has been expanded and will soon hopefully hold Golden Cheeked Gibbons.

Ring Tailed Lemurs have departed. But they should be getting some other ones in soon.

A Black and White ruffed Lemur left for another collection, leaving his parents.

Great Grey owls back on show in their new aviary.

Another bird species (unknown) is off show at present.

Work still going on with the Wolf, Hyena and a third enclosure (unknown species). 2015 looks like a very exciting year at Exmoor Zoo.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere else buy after a visit today I was informed by a keeper that the female leopard cat passed away some time ago.

A great shame, this :( and a bit of a blow to the burgeoning European population. However, as three unrelated pairs were imported and all the animals concerned were reasonably young, there is always the chance the remaining male can be paired with a female born to one of the other pairs at some point in the future.
