Update; I have been emailed to confirm delivery on Monday. I ordered in May or June direct from Lynx.

In fact, I ordered it on the next day after the anoncing, but probably will take a while until it reach Norway. It takes more time, than usual for EU. "All the Birds of the World" arrived already and I am very happy with the volume. Even if I have the HBW and the Checklist, it will be very useful quick reference.

This book is out now, as readers of Mammalwatching are probably aware.

I had a look at Lynx's "Coming Soon" page, hoping to see a "Mammals of Indonesia", but the only one on there is "Mammals of China".
Indeed. “Mammals of Indonesia” would filll a gap. Mind you, it is only in the last few years that a decent Indonesian bird guide became available.

I got a reply by lynx on instagram that hopefully my order’s status is updated. But considering the fact that I live on the US and I ordered 9 days before the first publication, I wouldn’t expect the book to arrive any day sooner.

To anyone from the Western Hemisphere, how ling does it take for the books to reach here from Spain?

The books have already started to being distributed, but I haven't found any reviews yet.

I asked Lynx about how long will the checklist take to reach the USA (because I ordered it throught an intermediate, so it has to reach the USA first, before coming to my country), and they answered me that a bulk shipment will leave Spain to the USA by the end of October, but from that point it will depend on how fast customs clearence and other factors will be.

Mine has now been delivered; extinct and domestic species texts in correct taxonomic positions, but not illustrated at all. Most primate illustrations greatly improved, marmosets and titis less so than most. Further details to follow; happy to answer specific queries.

Congratulations! I had hopes that some of the extinct species will be illustrated, but unfortunately they are not...Are the illustrations of the extinct marsupials from vol.5 included ?

It's great to hear that about the primate illustrations. How many pages each book has?

The extinct marsupial illustrations are not included, but species which may still survive eg Baiji are illustrated. Volume 1 631 pages, vol 2 535. 6554 species, 104 of them extinct, and 19 domesticated.

Congrats!

If i may ask ..

1) what families/genera of Primates are illustrated by Stephen D. Nash as they included some of his old illustrations from volume 3.
2) How many artists depicting the primates in the book.
3) What genera/families are illustrated by Faansie Peacock ?

Cheers

Peacock has done all the Prosimians, including Tarsiers, except some Cheirogaleidae (Nash). The majority of monkeys, and all apes by Velikov, except some South American species by Jutglar and Sogorb, and some Titis by Nash (improved versions)

Hi. I know this is a very specific question, but knowing that about the primates, may I ask: Were Ateles geoffroyi, Alouatta palliata, A. pigra, and Cebus imitator drew by Velikow, or by Jutglar / Sogorb? :)
