I'm soooo impatient. I won't be able to see it until the summer. I was hoping the exhibit would be open when I got to Houston for spring break, but of course it opens the week afterward, ha ha. I guess this is going to be the zoo's big exhibit.

This hotly-anticipated exhibit looks much the same as its renderings, including the gigantic tree that crosses the dusty ravine. It will be quite intriguing to find out how often the gorillas utilize the enormous fallen tree, as well as how the red river hogs adapt to being enclosed with the great apes. Houston Zoo has rapidly become one of the very best zoos in the nation and I am eager to re-visit it again at some point in my lifetime.
