In this case I actually got an alert for files being attached to the new thread and happened to be on ZooChat already (which I of course often am).
I don't actually understand why I got the alert, it isn't from anything I follow or watch already I think.
I did start watching the thread after finding the first post.

Understandable, but it's a matter of quality control. When you post so much minor news (much of it pretty insignificant) it can dilute your posts. For example, is the fact that Busch Gardens opened a chic-fil-a really worth posting about?

Alright that's fair. Still though I love the obscure, but that doesn't make me obsessive. I don't try to add stuff like animal surgeries or birthdays, unless they are really important (50th birthday or something like a broken wing and them returning from the hospital).

I mean, in any other zoo a new restaurant being opened is pretty big news

I'm not mad, I've just observed a pattern from you. I appreciate that you go out of your way to find news from smaller less talked about zoos, but reporting stuff like a small log being hollowed out in the Queens Zoo pudu exhibit (just one example) isn't very newsworthy.You know what, I thought about it and I know why you are really mad about me. Shedd gets even more love than either Brookfield or Lincoln Park, although to be fair it deserves it.
