I took a trip to the zoo for the 1st time today and I quite enjoyed it. It was a very hot day so most of the animals were all resting, so it took me about an 1 hour and 10 minutes to get through the zoo. It sure is a journey to enter and exit the zoo, takes about 5 minutes on the path to enter the zoo and 15 minutes to exit the zoo if you go through the Trexler Nature Preserve.

Here’s a few things to note
• The new Red Panda exhibit was nice.
• Based on the 2023 map the exhibit next to the Fisher that held Raccoons has been combined so the Fisher has both habitats.
• Also based on the 2023 map, the exhibit that held skunks had a sign that said Animals Temporarily off Exhibit, but there was no signage for anything.

On July 22nd, the zoo announced they acquired 7 domestic chickens (of 4 breeds; Crevecoeur, Silver-Laced Wyandotte, White-Faced Black Polish, and Golden Campine) named Alexhender the Great, Atilla the Hen, Chewbawka, Darth Layer, Kylo Hen, Lindsey Cluckingham, and Steve Chicks which are on exhibit. The zoo also announced they moved a (0.1) Crevecoeur chicken named Lola off display to become an animal ambassador.

Hard to tell from the rendering, but it appears that, except for the petting zoo, the exhibits won't be affected, correct?

Not news related, but how difficult is it to see the fisher? I'm toying with adding a stop by this zoo to my upcoming trip, but it would be entirely for the fisher.
