Little Rock Zoo Little Rock Zoo

@michaelarthur How are things at the Little Rock Zoo these days? Have they announced any new exhibits or added or subtracted any interesting species?
Malayan Pitvipers were taken off exhibit as of my last several visits throughout 2018. There was some form of exhibit renovation/construction in the reptile house, and upon my last visit in late 2018, Phillipene Pitvipers had been added on exhibit. I also noticed the addition of African Black Ducks, Indian Spot-billed Ducks, Spotted Whistling Ducks, and a West Indian Whistling Duck, all in the large waterfowl pond. It is possible some of these ducks have been at the zoo longer, I just didn't see them on my visits. None of these ducks were signed when I went.

Somali Wild Ass are also present at the zoo (as of early 2018 at the latest when I first saw them) and more recently (as of late 2018) Secretary Birds have been added to the duiker exhibit.

Really? It sounds very promising with the city-owned golf course next door being closed.
@gerenuk: Sorry, perhaps I misinterpreted this one with the previous postings in mind on the understanding of a costcutting exercise by City Council and closing the zoo 2 days a week.

This does sound somewhat more promising and more acreage for the zoo for expansion. I just wonder where this would even fit in their current masterplan?
