Seems fairly obvious it will be the expected Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys. It seems they enjoy their new exhibit. A lot of space for these active squeaking swimmers. Let’s see what animal will inhabit their old enclosure.

I feel like if the Chinese government is going to give away monopolized animals, then they would make any zoo interested in getting the animals build a sparkling new enclosure instead of reuse an old enclosure.Seems fairly obvious it will be the expected Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys.
A recent newsletter mentioned the Asian small-clawed otters would be moving into the otter exhibit. That same newsletter mentioned them currently being in with the crested macaques, and no longer living with the orangutans. This is a bit of a downgrade for the ASCOs I think...

That said, strangely Pairi Daiza has, unlike Beauval, not officially communicated about the Chinese monkeys...
Yes, I find that a bit odd given their propensity for publicity normally. Maybe they are waiting until nearer the time that they get them, but I would have expected some sort of advance publicity by now, if the deal is certain which seems the case.
Well the planting in the Sanctuary certainly won't be, that has been confirmed. In the official Facebook group the arrival of chameleons was announced by someone(and deleted a few hours later by pairi daiza, which only gives it more legitimacy). And then I have heard rumors of gibbons, Dwarf hippos, komodo dragons, the black panthers etc being moved to the Sanctuary but that's very speculative off course. It's not even 100% clear whether the Sanctuary is 'only' focussing on South America as initally thought or similar to Beauval covers the tropical forests of all continents (what seems to be the case now according to rumors)...
I hope it won’t affect the daily lives of the locals…Pairi Daiza has acquired the old camping of Brugelette and will transform it into a glamping! It will open in the summer of 2026finally affordable accomodation, i can't say how happy i am since it might be possible to sleep there, even with my limited budget

Hereby a compilation-video with the latest updates within the parc since the (short) winter-closure:
It simply states that the gibbons are currently off show I think. At 17.38 it zooms in on a notice 'Dear Visitor'. Anybody able to read what it says?
But the last two lines refer to something else' a new species'- is this the Snub-nosed Monkeys?
