Does anybody know which rhino was living in the Baboon Enclosure and does anybody know which rhinos are in which paddocks together at the park ??.

Rosie: This feisty female arrived from another UK zoo in 2011. She took a little while to settle in and was quite grumpy and badly behaved at first. However, she has since calmed down and seems very happy in her new surroundings.
It will be interesting to see if they can do anything with 'Rosie' breeding-wise (if that is the intention). She is rather old to start breeding now but her parents are not very well represented so if they can succeed where Chester failed, it would be good news. The large paddocks and 'hands-off' management style at PL may well suit her better though I am still rather dubious of success with this oddly-behaved rhino. Naturally I'd be delighted if they do succeed.
If she is introduced to a male then it's got to be Kingo?
Kingo (m) born 2nd October 1983.
Zambezi II (m) born 20th December 2002 at PL to Nakuru and Addo.
Does anybody know if Etna is still at Port lympne because i looked on the port lympn website at the black rhino herd and Etna's name wasn't on there??
According to the studbook 2011 Etna went over the rainbow bridge on 20th Dec 2011
What happened to Howlett's female being pregnant?Somebody stated (Pertinax?) that she wasn't actually pregnant, the keepers were wrong.
Port Lympne still have Sammy from Chester born in Osaka Japan at the moment as well as their breeding bull Kingo.
Just been talking to a keeper at Port Lympne. Thought it might be of interest to update the rhino thread with what he told me:
Port Lympne bull Manyara is still on loan to Paignton zoo, bull Magadi2 is at Chester I believe there is a calf of his as well there. Further afield Port Lympne's bull Vungu is at Rotterdam, PL bull Baringo 2 at duvr Kralove plus a couple of calves, (he may be at Berlin now though the keeper was not too sure). Then there's a cow Bashira at Ree park Denmark plus her bull calf Mandela.
Port Lympne still have Sammy from Chester born in Osaka Japan at the moment as well as their breeding bull Kingo.
Port Lympnes 4yr old bull Nkosi and a 4yr old female Mala who came from Magdeburg and is now at Lympne and are due to go to Folly Farm along with I think the none breeding cow from Chester Manyara. They were supposed to have gone this month but Folly Farm are not ready yet. He thought that Flamingoland were told (by the studbook keeper?), if they're ready before Folly Farm they could have them. Flamingoland were due to get Indian Rhino but have made the decision to go for Black Rhino instead?
All interesting stuff, obviously it is information from one source and there might be errors.
Chester currently have three of Magadi's offspring (the 4th is Bashira, mentioned already)
If Flamingo Land want Black Rhino then there's enough surplus youngsters for them to have there own stock without having Mala and Nkosi
As Quinto died, it seems there are currently only three proven black Rhino bulls in UK currently- Kingo and Sammy, both at PL, and Magadi2 at Chester.
