Sorry, but no. Brookfield Zoo was not the only to receive pangolins, another relatively well-known AZA zoo received a decent amount as well. However, that zoo has made no announcements whatsoever regarding this, so, lips are shut. In addition, there is the Pangolin Conservation organization in St. Augustine. If it isn't the source for all these new arrivals, it at least probably helped with the imports. The organization has kept at least five pangolins recently, but as a strangely secretive organization, there haven't been any updates or even a final census of animals they've had. Their animals are usually imported from Togo, and it is likely that is where at least some of the recent pangolins came from. In addition, this organization boasted the first captive birth of a white-bellied tree pangolin (not sure if this is a global record or just for the US). That being said, it is likely that any pregnant individuals at the Brookfield Zoo and the other zoo have given birth since their arrival. Time will tell if this was a successful conservation measure.
