Singapore Night Safari Singapore Night Safari News

Is the barn owl the only animal currently put on display at the pangolin trail?

Can't really tell as of right now, but there MIGHT be others already prepared since Zooish did mention they are running trials with the Slow Loris and Pangolin. Though can't say for sure if that's going on Back of House or in exhibit already

Otters are definitely a no show as of right now though, that I can guarantee

@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ Slow loris!!??!! I though it was a male mousedeer that is mixed with the pangolin in the 1st enclosure....

As I mentioned in my update post (but maybe didn't make it clear enough), it's not just the male Lesser Mousedeer in that first enclosure

It's going to be the Sunda Pangolin, Lesser Mousedeer, Sunda Slow Loris and the Spotted Giant Flying Squirrel all together in one habitat. Again potentially subject to change but that was what I was told which had me pretty darn excited

Anyone know which species of pelicans are going to be moved to the otter exhibit by the tram?

Potentially meaning that it's a sponsor board like the new board by Chawang or more likely, another Animal species (If it's the Binturong again watch our people bring forth the end like Armageddon Vertus in Animal Kaiser lmao)
Apparently there are gonna be binturong in the pangolin trail :P

The male maned wolf has died iirc. 0.1 is left in the exhibit. Theres one Javan Slow loris on display
Which habitat is the Javan slow loris in?

Well that's humourous, probably gonna be another Otter Binturong enclosure again then

The only Slow Loris on display is Ah Pui, who's in the Leopard Trail beside the Small-Toothed Palm Civets and former home of the Pangolin and Leopard Cat. He's signed as a Sunda Slow Loris however

And for the pelicans still not sure, but everyone here seems to assume it'll be the ones in the old Sea Lion enclosure

Does anyone know if the Night Safari still has striped hyenas, and if there are anymore potential delays for the Pangolin Trail?

Yes, we still do have Striped Hyenas. Last I checked there were 3 boys but apparently the one on display right now is an old lady. She's usually resting and blends in somewhat well in the grass so keep a lookout

As far as I'm aware, not much more regarding the delays. Let's just hope things open soon

Happy to hear about Berani again, hopefully he's doing fine.
There is about 11 species display along the trail along the 280m long trail.

Checking on those 11 species, here's all the species that I know of so far.

1. Barn Owl
2. Leopard Cat
3. Sunda Pangolin
4. Sunda Slow Loris
5. Lesser Mousedeer
6. Spotted Giant Flying Squirrel
7. Small-Toothed Palm Civet
8. Common Palm Civet
9. Asian Small-clawed Otter
10. Binturong

Looks like we've got one fella to look out for, I'm genuinely super excited for this

Looks like the spotted giant flying squirrel would indeed be back on display with the others along pangolin trail.

And I think I speak for everyone when I say this but:

Mandai stated in their media centre below,my best guess is a Malayan porcupine in the pangolin/slow loris/giant spotted flying squirrel /mousedeer exhibit
Probably the southern tamandua? I'm guessing most of these are gonna be moved over from their previous enclosures, hopefully they add some new animals to fill those enclosures. Perhaps move the Javan slow loris to the Leopard Trail exhibit

Are there plans to shift Tina the Tamandua to River Wonders, she could take over the former anaconda exhibit which is next to Amazonia encounter.

Unsure as of right now, but I don't think it's a good idea for that area. That enclosure was hot garbahay (but maybe it could be improved), and I doubt the FCT team has any real intentions moving her so far

So excited with this news! I really do hope that with the existence of this new trail (and after they’ve settled with the new parks), they will start planning for more new animals at the older trails.

On god. This Trail went from pretty simple but disappointing for some to suddenly a whole massive surprise with this species, this might be a good start to making a new golden age for us again

Doubt that since from the Mandai Media Centre it mentions that the animals are all Southeast Asian (Unless my Genshin brain kicked in and misread it), and with keepers I've asked before there doesn't seem to be plans to have her on display

Hoping number 11 is the Indomalayan Bamboo Rat. Would love to see her back on show again.
