A baby Prehensile tailed Porcupine that is believed to be female was born at the zoo on May 23.
A Whooping Crane chick has hatched! The egg was laid at the Stone Zoo, but was then transported the International Crane Foundation where it hatched. The hope is to release this chick into the wild later this year.

Does the zoo still have a jaguar after this death? I know they had two a couple years ago, but I'm not sure what the current situation is.Zoo New England announced today that Chessie the female jaguar was euthanized on March 2 following a quick decline in her health. She had been diagnosed with ovarian and uterine cancer in November.

To me it appears as big if not roomier than the exhibit at Roger Williams Park Zoo, and they were exhibiting five otters after the births last year.Exhibit seems small to display four otters…
Three river otter kits were born on February 16. This is thr first litter of otters to be born at the zoo.
