TV Series you are into

Yeah I watch quite a few of those shows too. I'll give Dracula one episode to prove itself worthy of one hour per week of my time.

I asked someone in work if they record shows on a VCR and they laughed in my face. What's DVR?

Dracula, looks interesting. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) a service that is provided by the cable company where you can record shows and watch them whenever you like.

Is Nick Fury in this week's episode, and is he played by Samuel? I think every man secretly (and for me, openly!) wishes he had the looks and body of the actor who played Captain America in the movie.

Nick Fury was seen at the end of the second episode and was indeed played by Samuel, who's said he would like to make appearances on the show.

I am watching Dracula religiously. It feels like 'Revenge' set in Victorian times. I like the twists (I don't remember the movie or book), and subtle historical references that make you pause for a nanosecond to think "I wonder if that is what really happened behind the scenes a hundred and twenty years ago?".

I am officially addicted to AMC's The Walking Dead. Why didn't someone sit me down a few months ago and gotten me into this show so I could actually be following along with the current season!?

I am still into:

Homeland
Walking Dead
Once Upon a Time
Revenge
Dracula

With all of the above being between seasons, I am currently into:

Penny Dreadful (scary, but I don't understand where it's going)
24 (never watched the previous 8 seasons, but this 9th season is great!)

I just couldn't get into:

Black Sails (adult period drama about pirates!)
Salem (adult drama/horror set during the witch trials of Salem in the 17th century)
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (this spinoff of 'Once Upon a Time' just wasn't very engaging)

I may consider getting into the second season of 'Under the Dome'.

I have watched the first episode of Michael Bay's 'The Last Ship', and I am intrigued. Is it an action series or a soap-opera-on-a-ship? We'll see.

I have not seen any of those, but then I have been out of circulation for quite a while. However a series called Sleepy Hollow has just started in NZ and I have watched the first two episodes. I like it.

Black Sails sounds interesting in that it sounds like a proper pirate thing, not a Pirates of the Caribbean thing - would that be right? I still want to be a pirate, but an 18th century pirate not a 21st century pirate. Those guys suck.

I thoroughly enjoyed An Idiot Abroad and The Moaning of Life. Skins and Breaking Bad are also favourites.

I've been watching 30 Rock, Teen Wolf and Shameless of late. Looking forward to starting the latest seasons of Game of Thrones, True Blood and Orange is the New Black soon.

I think the only thing I really watch on TV anymore is Midsomer Murders on Sunday evenings (I'm very old), as well as newsy shows.

I watched the first couple of episodes when that started over here, but it was on at a dumb time and I wasn't hooked initially so never kept watching. I think it got moved to a different time as well. You'll have to let me know if its any good.

Well with Breaking Bad and How I Met Your Mother over and done with, my shows have changed a bit. My current favorite shows are, in or particular order:

The Walking Dead
Supernatural
Doctor Who
The Big Bang Theory

That last one is a bit out of place on that list, I know, but it stills makes me laugh. I've fallen out of watching Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show (Jimmy Fallon) it seems.

I've gotten in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also but it's not really a big favorite of mine. It was slow during the first half of the season but picked up big time after the events of the second Captain America movie (because it's all connected and in the same universe you know?)

I like the fish out of water/person out of time scenario of that sort of show. I always liked the things like Quantum Leap, Buck Rogers, Farscape, Voyagers!, etc.

Sliders!

I actually started watching Breaking Bad (thank God for Netflix) a little more than a month ago, and I love it. I'm not much of a binge watcher so I'm not making as much progress through the series as I wish I could, but I guess that means I can savor it. :p Once I'm done with Breaking Bad, I'll probably start Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. I'm clearly behind everyone else though. :o
I'm also using Netflix to watch all of the old Futurama episodes.
When I'm browsing the channels, I often stop if I run into Big Bang Theory or Modern Family, as well as Family Guy and older episodes of The Simpsons. I also want to get into South Park too.
In terms of superhero shows, I never jumped onto the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D show, or Arrow, but I'm curious to see what Arrow's spinoff "The Flash" will be like.

Black Sails has real pirates in the Caribbean. There's lots of swearing, nudity, and violence. I just didn't know where it was going.

I watched a few episodes of Sleepy Hollow as well. I thought it was a cheesy, PG-rated pseudo-horror. Reminded me of TV shows from the 90s.

Penny Dreadful is getting rave reviews, with Eva Green and Timothy Dalton (James Bond) playing lead roles. It is not on free-to-air, so you will have to be creative in how you obtain episodes. I keep watching it, hoping that I will understand where it is going, but I am intrigued by the idea of a universe where Dracula, Frankenstein, Van Helsing, and Dorian Grey coexist.

Still can't get into Agents of Shield, and I am yet to see the 2nd Captain America movie.

I watch the first 10 minutes of Jimmy Fallon when I can. He's a funny guy, but I am not interested in the celebrity interviews.

Yeah same here really. I'll watch the interviews if it's someone I like or that I know is really funny.
