TV Series you are into

Anyone watched 'Gotham'? This new series about Commisioner Gordon sounds interesting.

I watched it. I thought it was okay. Had an interesting idea but I think they tried to squeeze too many characters into 45 minutes. Some stuff doesn't exactly add up. And then there's the really weird part where it seems like they're in the mid-1900's with typewriters and the clothes they wear but then they have modern-looking characters and cell phones because plot??

Interesting. This often happens with pilots, so here's hoping that the next episode is better. I am not too familiar with the universe that the comic books are set in, but I want to believe that there is a mixture of old and new. Batman has computers and fancy gadgets, but maybe Gordon is old-school and still likes typewriters.

Oh, and I watched the Season 2 premier of 'The Blacklist'. Outstanding. If you have never watched an episode, you simply must, now!!

Hopefully so. Yeah but this takes place when Bruce Wayne was a child. The pilot revolves around newly promote Detective Gordon and his partner Detective Harvey trying to solve the murder of Bruce's parents, which takes place at the very beginning. And it's not just Gordon who used a typewriter, it's the whole police department. And the whole set-up of organized crime running the city (including the mayor and the police department) just also makes me think it's suppose to be set sometime in the 1900's. The technology, including cars, is very old fashions, but then there's cell phones!

It started in Australia on Sunday night, with the first two episodes airing back-to-back. I'm really enjoying it so far, its definitely off to an interesting start. I didn't notice the type-writers... As far as I could tell it is set in the current day, but possibly Gotham has some out-dated technology.

Is anyone still watching Gotham? The ads for new episodes look very enticing, with both Penguin's and Riddler's back stories. Worth watching?

If you just go back three posts to #171....

Yes, I'm watching it and it is awesome. Back story of Penguin main focus, Catwoman and Riddler in there too, but not as heavily featured in terms of backstory (yet).

I'm watching still. They're been doing a lot with Penguin but Riddler hasn't showed up that much. But it's a good show imo.

I'm pretty into animation, and thanks to the animation age ghetto, this means I watch a lot of "kid" shows. Though I don't consider The Legend of Korra to be a kid show, even if it's being marketed as such. There is NO WAY this is being made with kids in mind. I'm pretty obsessed with Gravity Falls right now; fell in love with the show right away. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a lot of fun and I'm impatient for the next season, and I'm a big fan of Adventure Time. I've been watching Sailor Moon again, since Hulu is airing an uncut subtitled version of the original series. (the English version that American kids remember had a lot of weird censorship to it)

As for some shows actually made for adults? I've taken a liking to Bob's Burgers, and I obsessively binge-watch Orange is the New Black whenever a new season comes out. I'm starting to get back into anime again, plenty of animation for older audiences.

I got a Roku stick recently so I've been watching a loooot of random PBS stuff. Mostly animal-related programming but I watch other things too. I'm pretty sad that the cable "educational" networks all went down the toilet, but PBS is still on the side of good.

Oh I really should get into Gotham then. I wasn't too excited after reading Thylo's initial review but both Zooboy and Thylo seem to now agree that it's a good show.

Anyone watching 'Revenge'? Oh man, did you see the most recent episode? Emily now knows that David Clark is alive!! I need to mentally prepare to absorb the drama in episodes of Revenge. :D

And any Blacklisters here? You simply must love Raymond Reddington.

Yeah, I loved the first season. If the second season has started here, then I haven't seen any of them yet.

:p

Did anyone else get the little joke at the beginning of episode 4? When Oswald Cobblepot introduced himself using the alias Peter Humboldt. Was it just me???? :D
