so that possum was just wandering around in the daylight? Lucky. I saw a ringtail possum in the day once, at Melbourne Zoo (a wild one).Few more birds from around Melbourne city and the Mornington Peninsula over the last couple of weeks, including one lifer in a wetland a short walk from my house. Also saw a wild female ringtail possum yesterday morning in my backyard, with two large offspring on her back, very cool to see up close - photo attached.

Musk ducks are great, and weird, ducks.
yeah, there were two or three down by the bridge every time I passed (a male and one or two females). I was a bit surprised your current one was a lifer because of that.I was very happy to see the Musk Duck, it was fairly shy, but I got great views of it cruising around. Did you see one when you were in Melbourne?
