I had a look around the back of it today and it's progressing well, I'd guess it's not a long away from structural completion....someone who's been more recently than me might know if there's been anything going on with it.

They weren't bred at CWP female arrived pregnant!!!So although she gave birth at CWP its not a UK first breeding for the species!!That's a shame if they do,that's the first time they've bred them so it'll be a shame to take them offshow![]()
It has just been confirmed on facebook by the zoo that Kirana the female Tiger gave birth for the first time on Saturday. No more details as yet.

Is it just the one?
Is this not abit early to make the announcement? Anything could happen to that little one in the next few days. Don't get me wrong it's great news but South Lakes got slated for doing exactly the same thing with their tiger cub!
God you're hard to please!
It may be because people were already writing on the Facebook page about it so they felt they had no choice? At least it's not Zoochatters getting the blame!
Kirana was grooming the cub at the front of the enclosure (mongoose end) under all of the foliage,
If this tiny cub is outdoors in miserable wet weather, I shouldn't think its chances are too good. Don't they confine the new mother to her den? Perhaps she'd be stressed by that?
I don't know what it's like where you are, but up here we've had belting weather yesterday and today, so I wouldn't say there's been a problem there.
