Wait the springbok are no longer at the park? I didn't notice this :(
The first time I ever saw a black springbok, they had a lovely herd. Mhorr gazelles would make a good inclusion to the large savanna, and if you ask me they'd be nice in the Somali wild-ass paddock as well.
 
In regard to South American birds I think it'd be nice if they reclaimed the Golden-headed Quetzal - they had the species for a brief while in 2017.

More the merrier, Mhorr gazelles are probably one of my favourite gazelles... Wish we had ANY over here! :p

Might I ask where the springbok were housed? I wasn't aware Beauval ever housed them, but ZTL states that they were present during my visit (2019). If this is true, they would have been the only members of said species that I have ever seen; it is unfortunate I wasn't aware of them...

It isn't likely, as this new aviary isn't fit for small and fragile birds, unless there's an annex aviary inside or near the main exhibit.
This species may also be back in the Bird Greenhouse, that has been quite void of birds for a couple of years.

The Springboks lived for many years in the African Plain, they left the zoo in 2020.

The Mhorr Gazelles may live in both enclosures (African Plain or Wild-ass paddock) but I don't know if in the latter case the Wild Asses or even the Oryxes would accept them, as they never lived with small antelopes.
Instead in the main Savanna the Zebras and the other ungulate species lived for Many years with the Springbok herd.

- what is quite sure : coatis, giant anteaters, spider monkeys, howler monkeys (and I can say red :D), american flamingos.
- what was said but never confirmed : peccaries and pudus.
- what we can see on illustruations, newspappers... : brown pelicans, turkey vulturs, king vulturs, scarlet ibis, black-faced ibis, swans, herons, swans, ducks ducks ducks ducks...:rolleyes:

Black-faced ibis and spectacled ducks are new species on Zootierliste :)

A new house looking like a primate house is being built near the flamingo island at the entrance of the zoo. According to what I heard last year (see my quote) I asume it is for gibbons.
